1. Information We Collect

Unregistered Users

There is very limited information that we are able to collect from you as an unregistered user except your IP address, together with the date, time and duration of your visit and any referring website addresses. Any information collected from unregistered users shall only be used in the aggregate (on an anonymous basis) for reports on visitors and will not identify any individual visitors. We use this information to compile statistical data on the use of our website and to track how users navigate through our website in order to enable us to evaluate and improve it.

Registered Users

We encourage you to register with us in order for us to help you. In order to help personalise the website when you register with us we ask for the following information:

All of the above information shall be stored on our user database for the purpose of providing you with our services and for internal business purposes. This information is available to you and you are able to correct, update, delete or deactivate your registration via “Update Account” in the Mole Manager.

Invite a Friend/Tell a Friend

If you opt to select the option to invite or tell a friend about a particular service(s) we shall send an e-mail to the address that you have provided. The user agrees that by opting to invite or to tell a friend that the user has obtained the prior consent of their contact for an invitation (and reminders) to be sent to them from time to time. Such contact e-mail addresses shall be kept by us unless those contacts wish to be removed from any such correspondence by unsubscribing by following the instructions as set out above.

User Information on the Website

Dating – By opting to use the dating service you consent to making certain personal data public on the website. You will be able to amend, update and edit such information via your “Profile” for that relevant service.

Jobs – By opting to use the property service you may be making personal data public on the website. You will be able to amend, update and edit such information via your advert for that relevant service.

Tradespeople – If you register as a tradesperson some or all of your personal data may be made public. You will be able to amend, update and edit such information via your tradesperson’s “Profile”.

Information that you post in our public areas such as online forums, chat rooms/bulletin board, dating, urban market, property section, digger directory, jobs, data planner, tradespeople and London Events Calendar may be collected and used by others over whom we have no control. We are not responsible for the use made by third parties of information you post or otherwise make available in public areas of the website.

E-mail Address

We do not make your e-mail address available on the website unless you have sent someone an e-mail. The recipient of such an e-mail will be able to see your full e-mail address. If your e-mail address changes you may update your e-mail address via your “Update Account” on Mole Manager.

If your inbox exceeds the limit or you have too many unread e-mails we may contact you at our discretion to notify you. If you continue not to read or delete such e-mails we may remove the e-mails at our discretion.

Security

We use reasonable up-to-date technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorised modification or unlawful destruction or accidental loss. All our staff and any third parties we engage to process your personal information are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your information. However, the internet is a open system and we cannot guarantee that unauthorised third parties will never be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes.

Corporate Actions

We may transfer, sell or assign any of the information described in this Policy to third parties as a result of a sale, merger, consolidation, change of control, transfer of assets or reorganisation of Urbanmole.

Your Right to Access Information

You are entitled to see the information held about you. If you wish to do this, please contact us at legal@urbanmole.com. We may require you to provide verification of your identity and to pay an administration fee (which is currently £10) to provide a copy of the information we hold. Please note that in certain circumstances we may withhold access to your information where we have the right to do so under current data protection legislation.
